Oncology Massage is massage adapted to safely address the short and long-term effects of cancer and its treatment. An S4OM Preferred Practitioner has foundational and ongoing training to stay up to date with best practices and new research findings.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage is one aspect of Complete Decongestive Therapy for lymphedema and is also recommended following many surgical procedures. Your plastic or orthopedic surgeon may recommend lymphatic treatment for post-operative swelling. Alaria Godwin is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist with extensive training in both Manual Lymphatic Drainage (Vodder Technique,) and also surgical applications for MLD.
MLD is also helpful for general wellness, along with many autoimmune, neurological, and post-traumatic conditions.
